Advice inspiration!

.

This week let’s take a deep dive into my past. How I came to be and what essential lessons have I learned so far. There have been people in my life who have affected me more or less. Especially some great advice I’ve gotten! So, you all must be eagerly wondering what is the best piece of advice I’ve ever received? There are in actuality many to choose from, most of them said by my mother. I also thought about adding some nice pictures that don't quite relate to the issues discussed.

Great piece of advice

Don’t wear flats when snowing. It can get very slippery.

Lifesaving advice

Fold baking paper on the oven tray so that it doesn’t touch in the oven its walls. It is not good to leave stuff on top of the burners either. Do not ever, in any possible situation, mix chemicals, some people do it while cleaning for instance. Learn CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) you never know when it’ll be needed. Don’t share important information online. The internet is filled with people with no good intentions.

Amazing piece of advice

Surround yourself with positive and supportive people. Your surroundings affect you more than you probably even realize, so be kind to yourself and look who you let into your life. Some people really do have the ability to stir the pot. On that note, taking care of physical and mental health. Sometimes with busy schedule even I start neglecting my physical health which works like a domino effect, things starts slowly feeling like there’re no longer in my control and that I’m spiraling down low. So, working out and taking care of myself keeps my head in a right place. Also, if you want to save some electricity for environmental or expense reasons, turn off the lights whenever you exit a room.

Vocabulary update

I’ve been expanding my vocabulary during last week by hardcore research and just plain studying. While reading I write down words I don’t completely comprehend and then later on look up their meanings, I’ve been doing this for years. I think I have been able to learn some new words. I was reading a book written by a PHD, so I underlined the words I did not recognize and the ones that I already knew but don’t really know how to use myself in everyday situations. I still have not finished the book, so there is still more words to go through. Otherwise, I think so far so good with the studies, and I am looking forward to new assignments coming up!

  1. I like how you embellish your blog with the pictures. All the advice you posted is good and in my opinion necessary for everyone. Especially the one about CPR, now that I think of it, I'm not sure myself if I could do it. Better get into reminding myself of it's basics.

  5. Very pleasant read! The post was nicely structured and was easy on the eyes to read. Also can related to the first piece of advice, having almost died a couple of times when retrieving mail with flip flops on.

  6. Great advice, especially about the baking paper. I made that mistake once and triggered the fire alarm after the paper caught fire. Nice pictures from Tampere too, it's a wonderful city.

First post!

Well, hello, I didn’t see you there! Welcome to my blog! Get to know something about me – I’m a first year student of information processing science in Oulu university! INFORMATION PROCESSING SCIENCE How did I get into information processing science? So, I heard of it through my friend, she suggested that I applied. My friend is studying it too in a different city. HOBBIES AND FREE TIME I do not really have any hobbies in particular. I used to do lots of different things with my dog. So, my lovely, the best, never seen nor experienced before, mind blowing, flabbergasting, surreal, amazing, overall and all-round perfect dog, Mette, and I used to go on walks and play together, also just spend time together at home doing nothing. Unfortunately, she’s no longer here with us, blessing us with her presence. I have been going through a withdrawal of daily fun activities since she’s been gone. I do, however, do daily workout sessions on my own in my room. I have been intendin...
